It had felt, Brian reflected, all too satisfying-the punch he’d thrown without even thinking about it, catching the other dom entirely off guard. Though he used the word ‘dom’ loosely in that thought.
He’d never expected to actually meet Joe, though he’d certainly prepared plenty of things to say to him if he did.
None of his words won out, though, in the actual scenario, not once the cold fury consumed him in the nanosecond after Jon’s face had paled and he’d muttered out the name; one syllable, said with a weight Brian wanted Joe to feel tenfold. His brain had barely had time to register all that when he saw his fist flying through the air, connecting solidly with Joe’s jaw, almost of its own volition.
He said nothing even after the man was sprawled on the ground, simply nodding to Jon and motioning for him to follow, and they left. Brian still felt satisfied.
