Lolita questions!

I've finally got the focus of my topic for honours and I'm working on my essay plan this week. The plan is to get my first draft done by the end of January (and don't forget there's Christmas in the middle which knocks out two weeks). I'll have six months after that to polish it along with the one subject I'm doing.

What I find interesting is that there is Steampunk Lolita, too...subcultural cross-pollination, woo. :)

Inneresting.

As part of your thesis are you saying this is specific to Lolita, or this can be applied to most if not all subcultures (skateboarding communities, rockabilly car clubs, modern jazzniks etc).

Trying to think of a subculture that doesn't require some kind of economic power to participate (even crusty punks must have some financial effect on their surrounds, only they probably influence the price of lager and lentils more than deodorant).

Just spitballing.
