it tastes like HELL but is very worth it. seriously.

i really love the sound of that july 10th thing. only issue i can see at this stage is that my youngest has a bday on the 8th so 10th may be the day we have family around for it.

keep posting reminders! i wanna come to one of these things dammit!

If you did that in Melbourne, I would so be there. Esp if you played geeky things. Like the Reaper Rap from Bill & Ted, the disco version of the Star Wars theme, the Candy Cave from Charlie the Unicorn... Oh, man, I wish I could do a geeky nightclub.

I will totally let you know how it goes - and that's exactly the kind of stuff we want to play + j-rock + bandom + nerdcore + novelty + indie + whatever - it's a lot of fun. And you never know, if we pull it off well enough we might nationalise. or like you could come up, or hell we'll totally give you advice about doing one yourself! we're very socialist (or something) like that ;)

Hai. The bug going around at the moment sucks, but while I was getting that I wasn't getting the headaches. Now i'm not feeling sick but my head stings and the painkillers aren't working. grr.

and yes clubbing - am thinking about going to prometheus unbound, had a lot of fun at lovecats!

Only prereq I have for venue is GLBTQ friendly, and willing to be acknowledged as such. Frank and open discussion with security team to ensure that it's a safe space is high on my agenda.

OMG The Tivoli. One day we're going to do something in The Tivoli. We always thought that maybe a post supanova ball or something. We have looked at it previously and it's too pricy for what we're looking at this time... but one day!

ps sorry for the long response time - I'm awful at doing anything on my workdays, it's all shut down, minimal headspace then perk up for a couple of days!
