I’ve finally finished my Four Horsemen story for writers_toybox. It’s not the story I intended to write, and a little shorter than intended, but I hope you enjoy it.

wow is the first thought that comes to mind and the only one i seem to be able to put together. stark evocative, and yet.

That was so original, and so elegantly tragic. The idea of Angel going feral in this manner always fascinates me. The cat was the last way I would have expected Buffy to enter the story, but it was perfect, and very thought-provoking - so much must have happened since he last saw her or even thought about her.

Oh, and the zombies. Um, YAY. The apocalyptic theme challenge wouldn't be complete without zombies showing up in at least one story!

Thank you, Kairos. One of the other stories I was playing with was in fact, a Zombie apocalypse but I couldn't quite get it to sound right. This was the story that wanted to be written and I'm glad it made you think. Do you like zombies?

Nobody likes zombies, but I do enjoy seeing them hacked to bits by the heroes. Zombie fiction is a whole mentality of its own. I don't really get it myself.
