Scribes of Angel is Ten Years Old!

On Thursday, Scribes of Angel will be Ten Years Old. Wow… the time has simply flown, and it has been one heck of a ride. I’ve learnt a lot along the way. Ten years! Wow, that's great. I really don't remember what brought me to Scribes for the first time. I'd become involved in Buffy/Angel fandom because of friends I'd met online, and I suspect that someone told me to go there for some good fanfiction.

I do remember that Scribes led me to Blood Roses Forum which led me to Project Paranormal which led me to three of the best friends I've ever had. (I hope you know who you are!)

The past 10 years have been fairly distressing for me with a great deal of loss. Scribes has been a place where I could lose myself.

I find it immensely satisfying when I hear that others have obtained pleasure or found a refuge within my humble sites, and since it pleases me to make them, it really works rather well…

The fact that Scribes has made me some wonderful friends is a fabulous bonus, and something I would never have guessed at when I began on the web-mistress road ten years ago. Life takes you in strange ways sometimes!

wow congratulations. 10 years ago I didn't even know really about online fandom or fanfiction or anything. I'm trying to recall what story first brought me to scribes. Pretty sure it was by Ares, please don't hate me, not sure which one though. I think I found your other sites independently so I was gobsmacked when I found out that they were all yours. Can't believe one person has done all that for so many...
A new story a day! that is a treat.

Well, it doesn’t matter how you found Scribes - the important thing is that you did!

I think I found your other sites independently so I was gobsmacked when I found out that they were all yours. Can't believe one person has done all that for so many...

Well, I didn’t do it all by myself. I lean on Mike a fair bit for techie stuff, and I didn’t produce all of the site content, but yeah… I used to be a busy bee, didn’t I? Been slacking a bit the last couple of years…!

Thank you, it’s been fun. And you know, without the site readers and visitors I’d have got bored years ago, so thanks to you as well, for keeping me motivated!

I have used your fanfic archive so many times - can't even tell you. It was one of the first archives I found. And when I can't find a story now I remember that I can usually find it at Scribes. You have such great authors on the site. Really appreciate all your hard work over the years.

Thank you. I’m pleased that you like the site enough to keep returning, and that you can usually find what you are looking for. I have over 200 hundred authors archived, and I find it humbling that so many trust me to look after their wonderful creations.
