I'm sad about this turn of events. However, I'm actually more sad that you (and other fan-fic writers, but mostly you) have been far less prolific than normal lately. I'm hoping that maybe the LOCI casting news will inspire you to write MORE about G/E, but I fear the opposite will happen.
As for shipping in general... I'll be 50 years old next month and have sailed on numerous ships since I was about 10. I think I may finally come ashore and be done with it.
Ah, you. You're so sweet to me. I have, actually, about four stories swirling in my brain and now I'm just too pissed off to finish them. Bah. I'm hoping to have everything I need to write done by the time this stupid Season 9 premiere airs in...what...March? I don't even know.
Doesn't that just suck? Between this news and the stuff about Cameron on House next season, and then the weirdness coming from Neal Baer's mouth about Elliot, I'm all: WHAT IS GOING ON??? My shows are trying to kill me. STOP IT.
I have to admit, I'm not too surprised about VDO, considering how much he was hinting strongly at this the past year or so. But still... *sigh*
Maybe after the premiere, when he goes, we need to have a Goren/Eames 'write the perfect ending' ficathon, where we all write the perfect ending for these two according to our personal fanons.
I'M IN. Even though I never enter ficathons because they usually have deadlines and I write so glacially slowly (and suffer from so many unpredictable RL interruptions) that I have zero chance of submitting anything remotely on time. But the whole reason I WRITE fanfic is because (a)I want to know what happens offscreen; and (b) I want to fix things for the characters I love, and make things turn out okay for them.
These are also two of the main reasons why I READ fanfiction, so I would love, love, love to see what other folks come up with as far as the "perfect ending" is concerned. :)
It's sad. Very, very sad. I've enjoyed watching them, writing about them, so much these past few years.
Yes, SVU is still chugging along with its ridiculous plotlines and annoying characters. I stopped watching several seasons back, but I hear things. Oh yes, I do.

IT IS NOT FAIR.
If Goren and Eames must leave why don't they just cancel the SHOW? What's CI without them?
I mean. Even as a Shipper I understand that shows have to end. Like it or not. But they don't have to GO ON without their HEART.
