The etemmu is such a weird case. You know that temu occupies (I think) 8 pages in the CAD? I've been doing a bit of Netherworld literature lately - very grim place it must have been! I bet Gilgamesh was glad to escape from the eating-dust thing...

In case you're wondering why some utter random just added you to their friends list... I was absent mindedly wondering who on LJ listed 'rapper' as an interest. A few years ago there was only one (and I think they meant the wordy, talking kind not the bendy sword kind) - now there seem to be a good few.

And so I found your journal and enjoyed your chattings about Sumerian stuff, so thought I'd add you as I'd be interested to keep reading. I hope that doesn't make me sound like a scary stalker ;)

Hey, no worries, I am happy to be friended by anyone that wants to :) Actually it looks like we have some sort of link anyway - I know that your LJ friend chrisvenus is friends with a friend of mine, so we've already got an LJ connection!
I must admit, I've never actually tried rapper, but I do love watching it! Are you a dancer? Besides my incredibly obscure subject area, I'm also a morris dancer and a member of Gog Magog Molly (if you like crazy folk traditions, look them up!) which must increase my rarity value...

Anyway, hope you enjoy the Sumerian witterings!

I do dance with two rapper teams (Mabel Gubbins and Boojum), and am off to York for the Sword Spectacular tomorrow. I've seen Gog Magog on a few occasions, though I don't know any of them (and probably wouldn't recognise them without their paint - I've found that a real problem with border/molly dancers. Even if you know them quite well you get confused when they take their face off...) Which morris side(s) do you dance with ?

If you do festival bookings with teams then we're probably bound to run into each other sooner or later :)

I just dance with the Gogs, and we're doing Sidmouth this summer if you're interested :) I have heard of Boojum but don't think I've ever seen them! I'll look out for your teams whenever I get the chance :) Enjoy the Sword Spectacular! Do you ever do IVFDF?

(And yes, I have problems with recognising border/molly dancers. I can't even recognise my own team-mates when they remove their facepaint! ;P)
