This is the first piece your wrote about them, years ago?
Oh, my god, this is gorgeous - I am still wiping the tears away. This is just so, so, beautiful and sad.

I've been spending my time reading for the MEFA awards, before we move into our busiest time at work and I'm too exhausted to think straight - but the bad thing about reading everyone else's writing, is that it makes me feel like, "why bother?". But the joy of the reading, and just losing myself in other people's wondrous worlds, makes up for it.

I always love the way your tales focus primarily on the two of them, and their treauring of the time they have together. I started a piece of my own, but it's slow going: I can see it all in my head (!!!) but have not had much luck getting the words down. Not yet given up completely, though!

*blush* Yes, this was my first attempt, and actually started out as something else entirely, which I might post later. But it was so sad and depressing to think of such a farewell being their only real time together that I then chucked reality out the window and started doing happy drabbles instead!

They say the mark of a good writer is being critical of your own work, but I think you've gone a bit overboard! Please don't ever feel bad about your own writing--it's gorgeous and has certainly brightened my life many times! Don't give up on your fic, either, though I can definitely understand how it might be difficult to put pen to paper when you've got certain extremely distracting pretties in your head! ;)

*looks forward to reading future ficcage with glee*

Thank you very much! You're so right about the connections between these two; the more I thought about them the more they just seemed to make sense together, and before I realized it I was completely hooked.

You're very kind, but I do hope more people start writing this pairing! There are loads of talented writers in this fandom and I'd love to see different takes on my OTP. Feel free to take that as an unsubtle hint, if you're so inclined! ;)

Very nicely done. You paint such a heart wrenching image, hinting at what could have been while at the same time showing very clearly that it never will be. I found Theodred's foresight and interesting take on the situation, but it works beautifully in the story you've set up here. Again, very well done. I do *so* mean to drag my own works out of the mothballs, but everytime I try, life seems to get in the way. Mayhap it's RL's way of reinforcing canon. *sigh* Congrats on getting past the hurdles of life.

Oh, thank you! And please do rescue your stories from dusty oblivion if you can! *sends Boromir to stab RL for you*

Beautifully done. Subtle and implicit. I love this line:
* They stood, not speaking, close enough to touch and yet not touching, as if already the leagues were lengthening between them.*
It's very visual, and I think I can even hear the echo of the silence. Great! I like it very much! Thanks!
