Everybody join in singing the Denial Song! It's all AU, la la la la-la...
All right, enough of that. But it is all AU, and I love the idea of our boys off together, the two of them (ok, three), just chillin' in the starlight. (There was starlight, right? And shooting stars of course?) Their familiarity and affection shines out wonderfully here.
He knelt on the bank, pushed disheveled braids over his shoulders, and proceeded to splash icy water over his face and quite a bit of his tunic. Oh, I like this! But most definitely he should have taken off that tunic first. Lying about in wet clothing can be so unhealthy! That tunic's got to come off. Like, right now.
*squeeeeeeeeee* I'm going to break my squeee-er today, but that's just fine!
Théodred always insisted that even the most frigid water was 'bracing' or 'refreshing'
I am so with Boromir on this -- that's just an insane habit. Brrrr...
This is so playful and happy, Scribendi! I love the image of them chasing after the dog and having no luck whatsoever--heeeeeeee. And they're so comfortable with each other *dreamy sigh*.
'Wretched beast!' he groused weakly, unable to muster even the pretense of a glare. Théodred grinned.
Heee! I can see this so clearly! Yum...
he found his master far too preoccupied to reward his good behavior. Now how long did Theodred spend training the dog to steal blankets? *grin*
And I agree with Ann -- it's very bad to stay in cold wet clothes. Theodred should probably take that tunic right off. We're only worried for his...health. *shifty*
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wanted to try something angst-free for a change, and luckily they were happy to oblige!
You and Ann are right, of course. But I'll leave any tunic removal in Boromir's capable hands. *cough*
P.S. Omg, what I've heard of the soundtrack so far is just haunting and gorgeous. Not all that conducive to happy!fic, but it works if you take the Denial Land approach!

And don't worry, Boromir has the tunic issue covered. Or, erm, uncovered, as the case may be. *shifty*
