Explanations

Because of the outcry at my decision to remove accounts that were created without permission I am making a new post to address issues that have been brought up in the comments in my previous post.

You are not seeing it from your customer's point of viewI realize that it may appear that way but this is not the case. The site at this time, is not ( Read more... )

I find it disappointing that you've had to post this. It's always been clear that none of us Beta lot were to invite anyone.

Holy snot, the invites work? >3

Good luck with getting all the bugs worked out. I don't know how you guys do it. I'd be crying myself to sleep by now from sheer frustration. *head desk*

They do but they're not supposed to be used. ;)

I have a very awesome SysOp in Kit who gets a lot of the kinks out. :)

Oh I was just being a smart ass. BTW, if this is the case, I didn't know we weren't supposed to make communities (if it even lets us). I was considering it a while ago but I was too lazy to do it.

I didn't even know the invite function was operational. I guess that's because I realized I wasn't supposed to send invites out and didn't check to see if it was operational...

This seems like a common sense thing to me. Best of luck working everything out. I'm still looking forward to when Scribblit opens up. :)

I'll be honest here and say that while I did not invite anyone, I took the post here as it being okay to create a secondary (and only a secondary) journal for myself. I apologize if I misunderstood the post. As soon as I get home tonight, I'll backup and purge the extra journal.

I just ask that you take it easy on us that did so out of honest error.

Thanks for the update. You don't have to purge the extra journal, that's fine. We did allow beta testers to create secondary journals for themselves, just not invite other people.

I was given an invite code and have created a couple journals that I have every intention of using and using well. Instead of just deleting the journals, can we have an option to donate so that we may keep them? For me at least, it's never been a matter of wanting them for free and I'm very willing to pay to keep my journals. I'm sure there are others too. If people in the past got the journals for donating, why not allow donations again, so that we can have that opportunity too, instead of having to lose everything due to other people's mistakes?

Please re-read the post and you will find the answer to your question.

I've reread it three times and I seem to not being seeing it. I see nothing on the suggestion of donations. Or, is that just a flat out no and we will be suspended anyway? I mean, if it's just down to being suspended until it's open, I guess I can just use insanejournal for now, but I want to help because the site looks so promising.

There is a difference between deleting and suspending a journal. I also stated that we would be looking at accounts that have been created since the beginning of March. If your account was created from March 1 forward then yes, it will be suspended until the site is open.
