Okay. Okay. Okay, I know this sprung from your birthday, but hell, yesterday was mine and this totally feels like one of the best presents I have ever, ever gotten.

How is this so hot and so sweet all at once? (I guess a hooker with a heart of gold always helps; the pegging was a fabulous touch.) It's also really funny -- Patrick's grumpy thoughts at the beginning kept making me giggle. There's something about the way you describe things, the clever turns of phrase that are somehow still completely down-to-earth, that really rings true to me. Basically, I love this madly. Thank you so much for writing this prompt. When I saw that you had written it, I was so excited I had to pause Burn Notice and read right then and there. And I adore what you've done with it (seriously, professionals and pegging and Patrick being snarkily jealous and then all possessive and Pete the walking cliche and being made to be fucked and essentially saving himself for Patrick... I just don't know how this could be any more perfect). Really wonderful.

Aw, thanks! It was a pretty terrific birthday, all in all.

It really does seem like the natural conclusion to the existence of Pete, somehow. *grin* I'm pretty darn fond of substitute stories too, if only (but not only) because it practically guarantees some good long-term, built-up UST/longing in there, which is quite possibly my favorite thing in fic, if I were only allowed to pick one (thank goodness I don't have to pick just one!).

It is a fabulous show. I just got S2 in the mail and have been mainlining it all day. If I'm not careful I'm going to just keep watching until it's all gone... And then I will be sad, because there's just no substitute for Michael Westen. ;)

Patrick is like, stealth possessive. Pete is very much "Look! I has a Patrick! He is amazing and marvelous and fantastic and other synonyms besides! Everyone must worship the ground he walks on! But no one else gets to touch him, because he is mine!" (All in flashing, sparkly, colored, and bolded text that is size five hundred font, pasted everywhere so everyone can see it no matter where they go, of course.) While Patrick is more "I'm just going to quietly kill you with my mind if you even think about touching what is mine, and no one will ever find your body... and if that doesn't work, I will throw studio equipment at your head until you get the idea
