So...can you guys think of a line from a Fall Out Boy song that would be good to have engraved on the inside of a wedding ring? Yes, I am writing a ridiculous Pete/Patrick story where they get married. Help me schmoop!

Thank you! I definitely think some of the suggestions could work.

I approve of marriage schmoop!!!

Heh. Well, this is the sequel to the hooker!Patrick/stalker!Pete story that I promised you. Pete's not going to let the fact that he doesn't know Patrick at all get in the way of his grand, romantic gestures! *g*

I think I'm about two-thirds of the way done. I'm hoping to be able to post it sometime next week. This story is so ridiculous, I can't even tell you. *g*

I agree with Linzee's Side Effects of the Cocaine suggestion: "your hand between an aching head and an aching world" (Kinda long for a ring though.)

That's a nice line! Since this is fiction, I'm not going to worry too much about whether it could actually fit on a ring... *g*

The problem with FOB lines that sound loving, or at least positive, is that in context they are often about hoping someone dies knowing how much they are hated. I am always caught out by "you look so good in blue."

Heh. So true. Oh, Peter!

'There's a light on in Chicago'

Or, as suggested above, 'The best way to make its through with hearts and wrists intact'

Oh, I love that line! "There's a light on in Chicago." That would definitely work.

Thanks so much for the help!

I want to say "i know the way the sunshine gleams", which is a perversion of Headfirst Slide. I'm a little stuck on Headfirst Slide because of final projects.

For some reason, I could see them having 80s movie quotes on their weddings bands. I'm all for movie quote wedding bands. Don't ask me what. I didn't live through the majority of the 80s.

About the Side Effects one... maybe "aching head your hand aching world". Because I could totally see Pete being confusing like that.

Yeah, I could totally see Pete picking out an 80s movie quote. That is so him. Good suggestion, thanks! I'm going to think more about that.
