This was so hot and good. It was like an episode of Profit. I loved seeing it from Profit's POV and how he manipulated everyone and everything.

Also Chaz? I love him. He is so crazy and mouthy.

Gail! I love that Gail made an appearance.

Profit as a pimp. Omg, he could so do that. I wonder if he took pics of all the high society employees engaging in their brief careers.

I wasn't expected the end stuff with Cecily getting pics but I liked it. It seemed like something else that would happen on the show.

Loved the ending with Profit visiting Lex in Smallville and then seeing Clark.

Awwww, thanks, doll! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I love the structure of Profit eps, and when I decided to team him up with Lex, I really wanted to try to recreate that feel. They really would be the best sometimes-allies, sometimes-enemies. I TOTALLY want to see that TV show. :)

Must confess that I haven't yet seen Profit, but I'm strongly tempted now to take a look. Love all the scheming, and the Profit/Lex interaction, and the wonderful CLex scene at the end. Fascinating story!

I'm so glad you liked this, especially given that you haven't seen an episode. I do highly recommend Profit. It's wonderfully twisted!

He turns off the computer, hits the lights, curls up in his box. "Goodnight," he says aloud, to himself or to Lex, he's not sure which, as closes his eyes.

You're missing a 'he' right before 'closes his eyes.'

I read this last night after my wireless went out, so I couldn't comment then, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this. Perfectly ruthless Profit, and a Lex looking to rebel in the most lascivious ways possible - fabulous.

Oh, that's bloody awesome! It's the Profit episode Greenwalt would have written if - well, if there was a network that would actually air it...

I *loved* the twist at the end - the way it doesn't work out quite how Profit expected but there's still a win in there somewhere. That winding and weaving was one of the best things about the show - and kudoes to you for even attempting to pull that off, let alone achieving it.

But to put the cherry on a truly fabulous cake, getting the Profit narrative down *so* beautifully I could hear him in my head - and there is nothing like naked Pasdar in your head. YEAH, BABY!

Awwww! Thank you for the lovely feedback. I'm so thrilled you liked the story. I love the narrative structure of the show, and I really wanted to give it a shot. Because Profit coolly outlining how he plans to turn Lex into a whore to achieve his own ends? I couldn't resist! *g*
