Title: A Newtonian Co-Dependence

Summary: Their story is in some ways a story about gravity.

Note: A while ago, I mentioned an idea I had for a story, and this expands on some of that. Also, there are spoilers for "Fallout."

( Ambition rattles around in the Petrelli DNA, and Peter has none of the practicality that keeps the rest of his family safely moored to earthly endeavors… )

Just . . . wow.

There is so much here that I loved. My favorite line, I think, is

Maybe this would be the end of the story if Nathan didn't have his own issues with gravity, rather too prone to it, a weighty pull directing him step by step along a well-trampled path. It is only when he comes racing to Peter's rescue that he finds what he hasn't even realized he's been missing, a moment out of time when the careful game plan of his life loses all hold on him.

It just rings so true.

I'm so glad you thought this characterization worked! Nathan and Peter have a fascinating relationship, but I find it really hard to pin down in some ways.

Wonderful. Such a beautiful and deep look into the psyche and relationship between these two despite it being predominantly from Peter's view. It goes on long and makes you get lost in the words until you're like breathing through it.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Beautiful. I love that Peter makes Nathan's hold on gravity loosen, while Nathan makes Peter's hold on gravity tighten. Love the looks into their life and them not knowing exactly when their relationship turned sexual.

The description of them in Peter's dorm? I love it. Very hot without being explicit(omg so jealous! of you).

I'm glad you liked this! I was thinking how Nathan sighs about always having to come to Peter's rescue, but he keeps doing it, so there must be something in it for him, and then I started thinking about the irony that it's Nathan who can fly, and this story, forgive the pun, took off from there. *g*
