The surface of one of my season 3 Farscape DVDs was looking decidedly funny when I pulled it out of its box yesterday. And as expected, it was not playing well. It didn't refuse completely, but Farscape is hard enough to follow without all the characters stuttering their dialogue

Although I'm wondering what's the probability of my flight making an unscheduled stop in Maine and us all being quizzed by the FBI for several hours....
Tha BA thing may be to do with the company trying to force the government/airport authorities to be a little more reasonable. There was some talk about cabin luggage going back to the "standard" size that it was before all the kerfuffle, although that doesn't seem to have happened yet. Dunno about the hold luggage stuff though.
And I'm curious: why are you (a Dutch person) considering flying British Airways? I'm British and I'll only fly them if they're the absolute cheapest (which they're usually not), because I've had such bad experiences with them....

Heh. As long as nobody drops their i-Pod in the toilet or makes bad jokes or says a word that sounds vaguely like "bomb", you should be okay.

According to the article, it was a cost-effectiveness measure. Handling one piece of large luggage is apparently cheaper than handling two smaller pieces. But I must say, it was announced before the recent "kerfuffle", so I don't think they had taken into account what it would mean if people are also no longer allowed to bring along a decently sized piece of cabin luggage (that aside, I still find it very unreasonable that an airliner should tell me how to pack my luggage).

Actually, going to visit Lyllyn, Elena Tiriel and Cheryl. A grand tour up the West Coast of the US for three weeks. *g*
But I'm still quite glad we decided against flying for our main holiday this year ;-)
Yes - a very smart move in the circumstances! I'm glad that, with my trip lasting so long, a few hours inconvenience at start and end will not seem a big deal.
