So I love the complications of soulbonds, soulmates, soulmarks and how those things work out physiologically and emotionally. I love edge cases and complexities like recessive genes that negate soulmarks showing or platonic soulmates or bonding the person who isn' t your soulmate or accidental soulbonds or misinterpreted soulmarks or even better, cultural differences in interpretation of soulmarks, e.g. one culture thinks these people are romantically perfect for each other, another thinks this is your sibling truer than blood, or any other crazy variation.

Or what about the ones who don't meet the other end of their soulmark and eventually look elsewhere and they're loyal and faithful and even meeting their soulmate down the line doesn't shake their love for their spouse/significant other and they're not interested, thank you very much. Or the ones that are faithful to their soulmate and don't marry anyone else ever, even when they can't have their soulmate or think they can't. Or what about the work that goes into making a relationship work, not at all aided and abetted by the awkwardness of "belonging" to a stranger.

I love looking at the framework and foundation of how it all works in your story. In short, I love the worldbuilding of soulmates or soulbonds with or without soulmarks, so that it works in a feasible way but also complicates things and changes how relationships and/or courtships are handled and doesn't shortcut anything as far as actual building of trust & intimacy. Does one society arrange marriages based on it? Does it work for everyone? Is it genetic? Is bonding separate from marks and/or separate from soulmates? (Can a character bond with someone who isn't theirs or do the marks indicate a bond in the first place?) Do soulmarks appear at birth or contact or bonding? Whatever direction you want to go (almost - see DNW), I want to read it.

DNW:

Please no name soulmarks. I like to think of marks as being physiologically possible by whatever the soulmate tie is driven by, which would have to be a physical property in the body or mind or soul's resonance or you get the idea. I've never overcome the believability issues with names, especially considering names change and vary on language, relationship, etc.

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Fandoms:

The Fey - Visions lead people to know who they'll end up with, and it's not a far stretch to move that toward soulmates. Then there are those pesky links that resemble soulbonds, to say nothing of Gift and Coulter's platonic soulbond that could kill them both. Maybe there was a platonic bond formed between The Roca and his friend in the war or Nicholas and Matthias when they reenacted the Swords. [ Characters and Pairings: Coulter | The Roca, Gift, Sebastian, Arianna/Coulter, Jewel/Nicholas ]

MCU - I am a shameless multi-shipper. I adore platonic or romantic relationships and this fandom has a ton of close friends/partners going on from all the partners/friends on Agents of SHIELD to Natasha and Clint or Steve and Bucky. Honestly, I ship some but I am just as happy with platonic. I wuold just love to look at a deeper tie underlying the relationship, maybe SHIELD partners bond for work purposes (platonically) or Red Room ones do (Natasha +/ Bucky)? [ Characters and Pairings: Clint Barton/Bobbi Morse, Clint Barton +/ Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton/Laura Barton, Maria Hill/Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton +/ Maria Hill, Natasha Romanoff +/ Bucky Barnes ]

Asexual Romance, Platonic Cuddling, Found Family/Families of Choice, Established Relationship

So one of the things I love is deep intimacy that has nothing or little to do with sex. I love it from a truly gen perspective of friendship, of work partners, or chosen family or from an asexual romantic in a relationship that means something to them, it's important, and it's not about sex. I love seeing the way people relate in love and casual intimacy, casual touch, and sharing space and lives and knowing each other inside and out as they do whatever it is that they do. They can speak without saying anything, they have history and it seeps into everything they are and do, or they're building that history.

That's one of the reasons I love asexual romance, because it lets me look under the hood of a relationship that's about a mental/emotional connection, and it has a lot of potential complications as well. I've always loved edge cases and complicated relationships, and working out the differences in a relationship between an asexual romantic and one who's got both intrigues me. You could have the female character befriending the guy for a break from the sexual attention and ending up falling in love with him. Or a 'take it or leave it' asexual, not really interested but does sometimes with someone she cares about. I love to see how they'd work around it, show love in other ways. I'd love to see healing not coming from sex but from all the other things they do together or for each other. There are so many directions to go with this, but it's just one of the things I love.

It's also one of the reasons I love established relationship because getting to know people is interesting to me, but falling in love isn't so much, unless it's in the background. Making relationships work, now that's fascinating. People may just fall in together, but there's more to it than attraction making lives one and people come together and relationships work out. In established relationships, there's all this stuff peeking out from behind everything in little telling details and you can see how they make things work no matter how things go or how hard they get. And as above, all those little touches, casual intimacy, and the personal language that develops between.

DNW:

Please no non-con or dub-con.

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Fandoms:

MCU - I am a shameless multi-shipper. I adore platonic or romantic relationships and this fandom has a ton of close friends/partners going on from all the partners/friends on Agents of SHIELD to Natasha and Clint or Steve and Bucky. Honestly, I ship some but I am just as happy with platonic. I wuold just love to look at platonic relationships and chosen family, whether in personal lives or work lives. [ Characters and Pairings: Clint Barton/Bobbi Morse, Clint Barton +/ Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton/Laura Barton, Maria Hill/Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton +/ Maria Hill, Natasha Romanoff +/ Bucky Barnes ]

Firefly - I love the chosen family aspect of this show, and on that front, I'd love ensemble with lots of being family and that involving platonic cuddles and hugs and touches and unspoken languages and just being super close, do anything for each other. River wasn't nommed but if you are writing Simon fic on this, I'd love to see that family aspect there. Other than that, I adore canonical couples. [ Characters and Pairings: Wash/Zoe, Kaylee/Simon, Kaylee & Inarra, Simon & River if you like, ensemble]

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - So I seriously multiship and adore the team dynamics of this group as well. I have to admit, not having seen MI5, that I like the idea of Ethan/Julia being a secret relationship now that's she safely out of view and not being completely over. I love the stories about team as family, and feel free to use any combination of characters for gen or my ships listed. [ Characters and Pairings: Jane Carter/William Brandt, Jane Carter/Ethan Hunt, Ethan Hunt/Julia Meade, Jane Carter, William Brandt, Benjamin Dunn ]

Worldbuilding, Cultural Differences, Language Barrier

I love learning more about how things work operationally in a world, like how a spy or law enforcement agency operates within the real world intelligence agency, how the magic system works, how its used and bent and applied, how the administrative gears run, basically what's under the hood.

I love to see backstory and starting out somewhere stories, and pieces that immerse into the consequences of a particular canon constraint, e.g. soulmates would change everything about a culture, or canonical detail that doesn't usually get explored. For example: how language barriers are handled, what kinds of learning or devices are used to mitigate that, cultural differences, conditioning and training techniques and the exercises and surrounding details of casefic and missionfic, you know, the part where they actual gather intel, case a place, or figure things out about how things work, or set up for stuff.

Cultural differences are a part of a world, and I love things from the extremes of two different races with radically different outlooks or the minor things, like the difference between Marie and Jason's backgrounds or Beka, a spacer, and Harper, an earthling. I love seeing cultures collide and little misfires and figuring things out, even more so in a close relationship. In Narnia, there's sooo much room for cultural differences as the Pevensies become the kings and queens of Narnia they've been crowned as or the culture shock of coming home.

DNW:

Please no non-con or dub-con.

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Please no gore or graphic violence. I do understand several canon use them. And please avoid blood magic or Magog other than Rev Bem.

Fandoms:

Chronicles of Narnia - as above. I'd love to see them fitting into their world of Narnia or back into their world of England. Susan did the best at re-adapting, but I imagine it was difficult for any of them. I love Narnian cultures best (and Archenland and the Lone Islands and you get the idea), so learning about Narnia culture or viewing England through the eyes of it would be preferable. More about the political aspects, the work of ruling, the cleanup after Jadis, those vying for Susan's hand, building and sailing the Splendour Hyaline, visiting other lands, or learning about/interacting with all the different cultures of their varied people-beasts, dwarfs, centaurs, etc.-would all be wonderful. [ Characters and Pairings: Edmund Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Peter Pevensie, Jill Pole, Eustace Scrubb ]

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - More about the IMF and its relationship with other organizations and/or countries. Are they considered a terrorist organization overseas? Can we hear more about the legend of this agency that "doesn't" exist? Or baby agents coming up in the IMF, any of them and the training involved, the recruitment process, the training process, the advancement process... I love the language/cultural knowledge requirements of intelligence and law enforcement and would love to see more about how culture/language causes clashes or fun incidents on missions or where Jane or someone is the ONLY agent appropriate for a mission because of that sort of thing. [ Characters and Pairings: Jane Carter/William Brandt, Jane Carter/Ethan Hunt, Ethan Hunt/Julia Meade, Jane Carter, William Brandt, Benjamin Dunn ]

The Fey - The worldbuilding is why I love this series. Seriously. I want to know more. I want to know it all. And why doesn't anyone just walk through the place of power to the third one? The passages from each to the rest have been mentioned several times. I want to know more about what happened with the original Coulter and his friend and founding Islander magic and why he expected them to both retain it and suppress it. How did he think that would work? How was it supposed to work? What really happened in the absorption? Language is absorbed in the places of power. How does that work? If everything is absorbed, there are so many implications. And cultural differences are at the heart of the story. Gift's journey gave us a peek at all the tons of cultures in the Empire, and I just want to see more of all of it, in the little things like clothes and daily habits and market interactions and just... everything. [ Characters and Pairings: Coulter | The Roca, Gift, Sebastian, Arianna/Coulter, Jewel/Nicholas ]

Andromeda - I love the world of Andromeda, especially as begun in the first two and a half seasons. Ahem. I do have a few issues with things after that. Nevertheless, I love this world so much and there are so many corners and aspects of it that Harper interacts with, e.g. the Perseids because he really is a genius, and Rommie KNOWS because she lived when it was all a part of the Commonwealth. I'd just love to see more of the world, Harper's bad language skills while Rommie rolls her eyes, or the good stuff he's retained from Harper 2.0, or the clash between his cultural background and Rommie's and their total platonic love for each other that doesn't smooth over all the bad patches, but does make it work anyway. [ Characters and Pairings: Seamus Harper and Rommie, just gen please ]

Bourne Movies - I want to know soooo much more about everything in this world, from the programs and their development to Marta's backstory, to Nicky's backstory and how she worked with the assets and assessed them, to the clashes between Jason and Marie working out their differences as they settled into a relationship in between the first movies and the cultures they visited and his fluency in languages and is there one she's fluent in that he isn't? And yes, just everything. [ Characters and Pairings: Aaron Cross/Marta Shearing, Jason Bourne/Marie Helena Kreutz, Jason Bourne +/ Nicky Parsons ]

Competency, Loyalty, Case Fic, Team Dynamics, Character Study, Pre-Canon

What is it I love about case fic (or mission fic or heist fic or whatever it happens to be the members of the particular canon do)? Really, it's seeing how a particular character or set of characters go about their work or think through a problem or interact interestingly in reaction to a regular incident in the events of their job or business or work. In short, I love seeing the character or team in action, I'm entertained by it, but also I love seeing under the hood of the characters through it.

I adore competent characters and seeing them be good at what they do and figuring things out or strategizing and how well the plan survives contact with the enemy or even better how they work or plan on the fly, how things change, and the dynamics that get them there. I love seeing people tick and seeing under the cracks of how a job works (see Worldbuilding). I'd love to see pre-canon and how it goes into the backstory of the characters involved OR current where the current dynamics are on display.

DNW:

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery/betrayal and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Please no gore or graphic violence or witch-hunting.

Fandoms:

Chronicles of Narnia - I'm going to be lazy and point you to the Worldbuilding section. Or any of their adventures/jobs as Narnian royalty. [ Characters and Pairings: Edmund Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Peter Pevensie, Jill Pole, Eustace Scrubb ]

MCU - New Avengers team would be lovely. I didn't see Clint's leaving as retirement, just dowtime. Military and law enforcement often work on a # months on, # months off with called up for emergencies. Or you know, SHIELD stuff with Strike Team Delta or any other combination of agents thrown together for a job. Favorites listed for focus characters, but add whatever secondary/additional characters necessary. [ Characters and Pairings: Clint Barton/Bobbi Morse, Clint Barton +/ Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton/Laura Barton, Maria Hill/Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton +/ Maria Hill, Natasha Romanoff +/ Bucky Barnes ]

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - I'd love to see pre-canon with Jane Carter leading her team before Ghost Protocol or Brandt before Croatia or you know, current lineup team mission fic. Also, I love the idea of Julia and Ethan being a secret relationship, not a done and over one, but up to you. [ Characters and Pairings: Jane Carter/William Brandt, Jane Carter/Ethan Hunt, Ethan Hunt/Julia Meade, Jane Carter, William Brandt, Benjamin Dunn ]

Agent Carter - Peggy is just soooo good at her job and Angie's delightful on the side when she intersects with a case without even knowing how much she affects it and I ADORE Peggy and Jarvis as partners and Sousa as a colleague as well. So... More of that? [ Characters and Pairings: Angie Martinelli, Peggy Carter, Edwin Jarvis, Daniel Sousa, just gen please ]

Bourne Movies - Pre-canon when Bourne or Cross were working operatives, Bourne working with Nicky and vice versa, or a mission/activity post-canon or what did Jason DO while on the run with Marie? I'd love to see him working and coming home to/working with Marie. [ Characters and Pairings: Aaron Cross/Marta Shearing, Jason Bourne/Marie Helena Kreutz, Jason Bourne +/ Nicky Parsons ]

Arranged Marriage, Woke Up Married, Holidays, Domestic Fluff, Romantic Fluff, Sleepy Cuddles, Virginity, Established Relationship

For all the ships I've requested, I adore me some domestic, romantic fluffy bliss, especially sleepy cuddles and sharing space and established relationships and casual intimacy and knowing interactions. I love that way that two people get to be like one.

That said, I always adore woke up married with my favorite ships if the explanation feels in-character or feasible in the kind of world that canon is. Arranged marriage with a slow build, fighting for trust is just wonderful, and an interesting possibility for something like Narnia. Virginity fic/exploration is wonderful when it feels in character and there's a good reason for it. A Pevensie for example experiencing their first time two times is ripe for exploration, but Steve being a virgin and naive about it is unlikely and not particularly interesting.

Holiday fic is even better if it's non-traditional holidays, like Natasha celebrating Women's Day (Russians prefer it to Valentine's) or an orthodox Christmas or Jewish holidays (yes, please, yes) or Narnian holiday fic or the Mission Impossible crew landing in another land's holiday at the worst time. I'm open.

DNW:

Please no non-con or dub-con.

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Total AUs welcome for this set of tags.

Please no All Saints Day or Halloween-related holidays or any specifically pagan holidays. (Yes, I'm aware that Christmas, etc. are descended from them.)

Fandoms:

Family, Found Family/Families of Choice

There is little I love more than family and family fic. Not particularly kidfic, though that's fine, that's nice, and I like it with pairings I love (so long as they are in character and not overly fluffly in a canon/relationship that's not), but family members with history interacting and meaning something to each other, often just as or more important than romantic relationships.

I love families that were born family and the dynamics in that where there's love, hurts, reconciliation, and that getting each other and close, platonic intimacy from sharing lives and upbringing and growing differently from each other. The glimpses of older Edmund and Susan in The Horse and His Boy and their relationship or Clint and Barney's story in Fraction's Hawkeye being prime examples to me of some of the stuff I love to glimpse and better yet, dig into.

With found family, I love it being just as strong as born family and with just as much intensity and history in the relationship. I just love family, okay?

DNW:

Please no infidelity/cheating/adultery/incest and please no fridging or bashing other significant others. If you go with a non-canon pairing, please either AU canonical pairings or do pre- or post-canon.

Prefer canonical general timeline and no total AUs for this set of tags.

Fandoms:

Chronicles of Narnia - As above. I want to see more of them either grown up in Narnia or back in their own world, interacting afterward. Please no fic about death or when Susan's begun to deny Narnia. [ Characters and Pairings: Edmund Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Peter Pevensie, Jill Pole, Eustace Scrubb ]

The Fey - So much to say here. I'd love to see if Jewel had lived and how they would have raised Arianna. Yes, I know it's canonical that it was one or the other, but handwave it or write around it if you want to go there, because I want to read it. And of course, there would've been the added dynamic of Jewel and Solanda co-raising her considering the need for a shapeshifter to train Arianna and poor Nicholas in the middle. If Gift hadn't been stolen. The three siblings and their relationship at any point in canon. The Roca's family, all the things. [ Characters and Pairings: Coulter | The Roca, Gift, Sebastian, Arianna/Coulter, Jewel/Nicholas ]

Awake - Most of my favorite stuff about this show is the family dynamics and how they're highlighted when in either world, one member is missing. That said, I'd love to see them all together in the white timeline or Michael out of jail and him and Hannah and Emma's relationship re: grandchild, or Michael and Emma and Rex. I love them all the ways and want all the things. [ Characters and Pairings: Hannah Britten/Michael Britten, Rex Britten/Emma, Isaiah "Bird" Freeman ]

Andromeda - Harper and Rommie are sooo much like family. Yes, he has a crush on her, but really their relationship is so much more complex than that. He created her, he loves her unconditionally, and he never did anything inappropriate to her. She loves him and is fiercely protective and treats him like an annoying kid brother half the time and like her most wonderful but exasperating doctor. She knows he's a genius and doesn't treat him any differently because of it. I just love them and want more family feels. His biological family is gone (Bunker Hill, hear me weeping), and he's made family of computers and technology and Andromeda's crew. More please? [ Characters and Pairings: Seamus Harper and Rommie, just gen please ]

Whatever you write, thank you sooo much! Please don't feel locked into anything specific in here. This is to give you ideas and be helpful and it's waaaay too long, but really, mind the DNWs and I guarantee you, I will love whatever you write. Thank you!
