I'm getting back into fandom. After this post, wasn't sure this would really happen again. Today, I've finished and posted the next chapter of Without a Trace and gotten a small chunk into the next chapter of Whisper. What happened?

Oh, sweet mercy.

I watched the first episode of "Awake".

NRRRRRRGH there aren't even words. I want more of this show now but I need to pack for Emerald City Comic Convention, and I need to sleep because I have to catch a super early bus...

When I get back I am marathoning all the episodes out. I am officially in love.

I literally shrieked at the end of the first episode when was talking to the 'green world' therapist about how he's keeping both worlds, and then holy CRAP there's suddenly green in the 'red world' and then the son is wearing a red shirt in the 'green world' and hooooooooly craaaaaaaap worlds blending and ZOMG EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH ME.

First "Divergent". Now "Awake". Is there anything not awesome that you've recommended to me? Because I don't think there is.

But also, yes. Good to see you back here, m'dear. Come and go as you please; hopefully you do remember that I'm here for you. Not sure how well I've done showing it, but please know it anyhow.

You sound like me. It took me so long to write about it because it left me totally fangirl speechless. I am glad to see we have such similar taste. :grins:

Heh. These similar thought patterns and tastes are probably one of the many things that make us friends. ;)

I just have so many FEELINGS about this show. It's just...gah. I need to go watch more episodes, and once I do, we'll have an official fangirl-off.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to flit in and out of fandom as the muses and your own life dictate - just write what your brain is telling you to write, and if it's fannish, then awesome; if it's original, then that's awesome too. =)

Sometimes RL makes being more involved in fandom really tough. *sigh* I'm right there with you. But I must admit, I am quite happy your fangirl's loose again! ;)

You can catch all the episodes free online for another few days. Pilot's about to go off on the... 4th?

Best fic ever. But start with its prequel Thick as Thieves if you can. It lays a foundation you don't want to be without.
