So characters have habits, ways they interact with certain people and situations, things they do and like to do, stories and histories together. I've known a lot of my characters' for a long time but getting them all into fic is interesting, particularly for the ones I don't know that for.

Side questions/prompts: he says finding Justus was a fluke, so how did that happen? And how did they find out he always knew everything?

She's very protective of him here. I like that. (Sucker for scenes of people protecting the people they care about, too. :P)

Yes, and her protectiveness has always been... prickly. very prickly. As she says, she's not nice. She's a lot of things, but not nice.

Prickly can be a good thing. Sometimes. If it's for the right reason.
