That's wonderful. Rather reminds me of a book I had as a child, called The Paper Bag Princess. I'll admit I don't remember much about the actual story at this point, but I seem to remember the prince getting roasted, and the princess electing to live with the dragon.

I didn't have that one, but I read The Enchanted Forest Chronicles; wherein princess Cimorne, after learning a number of un-princess-like skills such as cooking and swordplay, takes one look at her betrothed and volunteers to go cook and clean for a dragon. Her reluctant betrothed is very happy when she sets him up with the neighboring dragon's more traditional princess, and the neighbor is grateful to be rid of that particular princess. :D

Thanks, and happy Valentines Day!

Awesome! I definitely caught the Princess Bride and Hobbit quotes. (It may help that I have The Princess Bride nearly memorized...)

This reminds me of a headcanon-type thing going around on tumblr, where someone suggested that dragons were guarding princesses from knights and teaching the princesses how to be fierce and defend themselves and all that jazz.

As long as it wasn't for the past eternity. That site sucks me in, like an unending vortex of fandom and social justice and cute animals.

Yeah, my feed is like 20% sims and architecture/landscape photos, 25% cute animals, 25% fandom, 25% science, and 5% environmental and social justice.

Fortunately, I'm a master of the quick scroll and the tumblr savior, so I have blacklisted all popular fandoms that I don't care to hear about or don't want spoiled in their entirety. :D
