Yeah, everybody involved in this story needs copious amounts of hugs. (Except for Christian, but he's an absolute dickwad who needs to be locked up.)

And you're right in one! Specifically, the last time they encountered a guy who was this much of an asshole and a predator as well, he was a powerful mage who Allie ended up having to fight. (Yeah, so that's a spoiler for a not-yet finished story, but it's the only part of that story which is relevant right now.)

Of course there's nothing wrong with redheads!
