That's one of the most clichéd crazy episodes I've ever seen from a character. I'm having a hard time reconciling it with Dirk's personality for the simple reason that I have a hard time imagining anyone spouting all that nonsense and sounding reasonable and self-consistent. So, I guess we can say that Dirk really is the crazy one? Even for fanon that's a bad excuse. Maybe the Order should have had mind control powers that brainwash people into adhering to their chosen timeline?

Zahra and Eunice continue to steal the show, though. An "angel in white," though? Is that like a ministering angel, only not localised, just translated?

Dirk makes me roll my eyes. A lot. I just don't care about him, in part because he doesn't seem to me to have much personality to go against in the first place. He just doesn't have enough screentime before going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs for me to give a damn. If I was writing it, I'd at least have him around while the gang was interacting with the Order- maybe have him agreeing with Sieg about how crazy they are at first, while Jale and Marica are more positive/neutral towards them. Have a "still nothing" scene with the second Chronicle, maybe something with him trying to argue with the kids about how crazy they are for thinking the forest they've lived next to their whole lives wasn't there until a week ago. Then when they get to Cynas and Jale and Marica are being vaguely creeped out by the city's atmosphere and Sieg is seething to himself about everything, have Dirk start just... not saying as much, especially negative comments. Make up some excuse for him to leave the city ahead of the kids, so he's not there for the scene with the ( ... )

...Dirk's voice-acting in that cutscene was terrible as always, but I swear that evil laugh was one of the best things in the entire game. XD The original Japanese Dirk sounds very lackluster in comparison.
