What an amazing view of them all. I loved that Spock is so accepting of Jim's friends and their inclusion of him. I also liked Winona's bitter diatribe and Gary Mitchell's awesome friendship to them all.
Ahhhh your dialogue is so awesome. And I love that your Spock shows that he has feelings/moments of doubt in ways that aren't him like having a breakdown or some dramatic such.
This is a really great example of outsider pov. Gary's narration of the events is hilarious. :D
This might sound weird, but I liked Winona here most of all. I think what she said wasn't jealousy, and I also think that it made helluva lot of sense; at least as much as anything about these half-baked promotions can make sense.
Kirk/Spock were interesting, with Kirk being surprisingly mature. It's refreshing and welcome. :)
Oh, I definitely agree -- there's a whole lot going on with Winona there, and Jim's dickishly reducing it to just SHUT UP, MOM, MY SHIP'S AWESOME. Hopefully people don't take Jim's word for the definitive Take on things, haha.
