call a doc, oh, and if you are talking about heart attack symptoms, Most women don't get crushing chest pain, just men.

Please call your doctor!

Yes, exactly lastwordy_mcgee June 5 2009, 14:09:22 UTC
Women tend to start with symptoms similar to heartburn or upset stomach, actually.

Go to the doc. If you've never had a physical, it could be any one of a number of things, from asthsma to anxiety to bronchitis that was never properly diagnosed/treated, etc etc.

And do not smoke. Do not.

I agree, call the doctor. It sounds like an anxiety attack to me just like one of the ones I get.

but it's always best to be safe and sure. Call your doc.

I'm adding my vote for "Go to the doctor ASAP." Whether it's an anxiety attack or something else, you don't want to mess around with chest pressure and shortness of breath.

*hugs* let us know what happens, okay?

I have taken myself to the ER once before because of symptoms like this and every doctor there said to me "You did the right thing" even though it was an anxiety attack. My vote is to just go, get all the bloodwork, EKG stuff done and have confirmation of what it is... so sorry you are dealing with this... *hugs*.
