Quiescence - ::cries:: I wasn't expecting that at ALL! Poor Yuuri, poor Conrad... I focus so much (or I have lately) on how strong their bond truly is and it seems inconceivable that anything could break it. When it comes down to it, I guess it's a matter of whether or not that bond is strong enough to overcome Conrad's propriety as a loyal soldier of the Maou.
But I still can't believe you broke your OTP! You freaked when it happened in Hajimari no Tabi!

Vivace - ::in unison:: Awwww. I'm afraid that, since you always end up playing Tsuchiura's paths, I don't quite have the love for him that you do. Yes, he's the Nice Guy (unless Tsukimori's around... >.>) and whatnot, but I've got my genki and my evil and, at times, my sleepy, so. But this is really cute and I'm particularly fond of the comment at the end about Hino's contagious enthusiasm. (It really is!) I just want to squish them both. Awwwwww.
I need more different Corda icons, me thinks.

Q - Sadly, I think it's much more likely that the situation would end up looking like this. Conrad's mindset reminds me a lot of the bushi and similar [historic and/or old-fashioned?] classes. It seems like a pretty big hurdle to overcome. I don't know, maybe if it were given a looooot of time the odds for a happy ending would go up.
I know. I fail. I wanted to try writing something that wasn't made of sugar. I should stop. -_-

V - I should have you do the one path we've got left in Encore. He really is a good guy in the end, no matter what wrench they throw in to create angst. Oh please don't bring up Tsukimori, they're already clamoring at me to hurry up and start that damn thing.
Oh ditto.

V - I totally read that wrong and saw "wretch" for a split-second and thought, "That's mean! I'm sure Suzuki-san is very nice person!" before my brain caught up. -.- Wargh. But someone else should suffer because 3!Seiryuu has it out for me!
And your awesome idea is yet another Hihara... not that I'm complaining, but....

I didn't know Tsuchiura was actually stalking Hino behind trees all those times that he casually walks up and says "Yo." XD Or maybe it's something I have to play the games more to know about? 8) The fact that just seeing her briefly was such a pick-me-up is really cute and really warming ♥ Hino and Tsuchiura have a comfortable relationship no matter how you slice it, so I think this little glimpse of romantic development fits in just right.

I have no Corda icons. Fail!

Uwah, now I know I'm developing a Tsuchiura-type-muse because he's yelling indignantly in the back of my mind that he does *not* stalk Hino, thankyouverymuch, and if any of them did it would be Kaji and I should write more clearly so people don't misunderstand him. -_-;
Personally, I think it would make all of his casual "yo"s hilarious if that were the case, but stalking is creepy. *nods*
I think a relationship between these two would be sweet but not overly-saccharine. And it would probably be a healthy relationship too, since there are no major personality flaws to deal with. But now that I think of it, there's nothing really bad about any of the Corda guys (aside from the aforementioned near-stalking that Kaji does) once they get to the stage where they develop feelings for Hino. *ignores the whole Kanayan being her teacher thing*
All of my Corda icons are Tsukimori! Double fail! XD

Quiescence: oh!

*face drop*

I can imagine this happening but it is too sad to bear...(for me) for them both.

Nothing is worse than unrequited love and in this case its 'body wracking heart rendering sobs heartbreak'..all the sadder cos Conrad loves Yuuri back but cannot bring himself to accept the confession.

On the same note I always feel guilt at hoping for the Conrad x Yuuri liaison whenever I think of poor Wolfram. He's quite proven himself yet I can't help wanting Yuuri to end up with Conrad..just me,lol.

"Too miserable to be able to look closely, Yuuri never saw the hurt in Wolfram's expression..."

sigh.

Btw thanks for pointing out your new fic to me:) I do enjoy reading about this pairing though have been moping around the house after thinking of the rejection.

If the Gods of fiction should so possess you again to write a happy ending for this pair, please please do!! :)

When I was asked to write this story I was given the title and the phrase "it's no better to be safe than sorry" so I knew it wasn't going to be a happy piece. It was difficult (emotionally) to write since ConYuu is one of my favorite pairings in all of anime/manga.

I'm sure I'll be writing these two again (they never leave me alone for long) in a much happier story. Hope you'll like it when the time comes!
