It's funny how EGOTISE* not only misses for 7s, but you have just one possible eight. Go away, tease racks. The longer I play, the more I dislike the G (unless we're looking at ING on a wide, wide, wide-open board with several consonant floats).

EGOTISE* has promise for your lessers*, I'll give it a 8.5/10
UNwELLER* I first read as a noun, not a comparative, which is why I would insta-challenge. As a second-glance comparative adjective, it has merit, but reeks of inelegance in the construction, 6.7.
qUIETISH* has a certain aromatic flair, but if you were to try it on me you'd have to fast-bag me quickly to promote acceptance. It's less plausible than BEPOUT*, for example, 4.0.
Does Diane have a Defalt for SHEENIER that mentions New York?
As long as we're nominating plausible racks which should be good, I would think ATONIED* would be a plausible synonym for ATROPHIED, alas...

I think that blanks figure in to plausibility ratings. With UNwELLER*, RELLENo% played, but I honestly didn't remember whether it was good, and I thought the former actually seemed more plausible. But, in part because he saw that I had other playable bingos in ?EELLNR, he let it go.
I played EGOTISE* against Al H. of all people just 6 months ago and he didn't even hold me. I later added the D with another bingo and he didn't blink (well except to bitch that I was winning). This is probably the most pleasurable way to be that guy.
I wonder how EGOTISE* has entered into our collective Scrabble conscious despite it being such a high-prob phoney.
