I was only semi-lucid at club last night, which meant that I played some really questionable things. It actually worked for me for the most part - sometimes I wish I wasn't rewarded for the mistakes. I let HOGTIER* go because I thought it was cute and I was up by a lot. I later hooked OPERATE(R)* to it in the triple lane, which was also allowed ( Read more... )

I also was tired and not very with it at club last night. In two games I wasted turns on stupid phony bingos, but drew so well it didn't matter. In another I chickened out of playing SHAY.

KIMONOS was nice.

I like honest scrabble blogs, including hits and errors. Too many of them have that "hey, look how great I am!" tinge to them.

We should have you and Mike Early play 1000 games sometime. My theory is that, eventually, there will be a game in which not a single valid word gets played. :-)

I let Early get away with TENDONED the first time we played, before I knew of his phoneyosity......
