BAT 11 game by game day 1

jmallick and i picked up lisa and went to westford. i ate chinese food and napped in scrabbleshells' room for a couple of hours. ate more chinese food then played some games.

Starting that opening quad was one of the best things about the whole tournament!

Maybe KNOB instead of ODE in the first game? I also don't understand ION. (H)ENS seems to take out all the lanes and score much better. In the third game, maybe EX or SEXT instead of EXSERT?

ion doesn't make that much sense. there's no bingo i can imagine through the C up top, but i don't trust myself with the blank as a possibility to think of all the possible bingos, and there's words that end in ON if i play HENS, same situation, and i was only 99% sure TASTING didn't take an S.

i like exsert because it scores well and gets toward the end of the game faster.

HENS scores well enough to outrun TASTINGS if it is good, and it outruns bingos to the ON if there are any (there aren't), as well as bingos to the C. SEXT scores better than EXSERT and still gives you about a 45% chance to draw AAB.

fair enough. i didn't count out the bingo scores - i was definitely fuzzy that game. really all three games.

yeah, me too. i guess yours were worse. none of these three games was particularly well played on my part. i was playing much better in my downward spiral than i was on this day.
