Plenty of ink and, lord, am I glad I started reading it early enough because I could ... not ... put ... it down!

OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! This was fabulous from start to finish. I ached for Eliot as he got more and more disillusioned with the life he had chosen that turned out to be so different than what he thought it would be ... and his relationship with Parker was so sweet and so perfect for them! I could so easily see them interacting in my mind's eye!

Please ... please ... please say there will be more in this universe!!! *begs with puppy eyes*

Thanks, hon, I'm thrilled that you liked it so! It was a lot of fun to write, and fun to "translate" everyone into this world.

And, yeah, poor Eliot. Songs and stories and dreams of war are just SO different from the ugly reality, no matter which century it is.

I'm glad you liked his relationship with Parker. Since I'm not an E/P shipper, I had no idea if I could make that work, but it really seemed to fit for this.

I may have to revisit this world at some point. I put too much work into it to just abandon it, lol.

*long, loud squeal* *takes breath* *more squealing* Ok, that's done. Wow! This story is amazing! It's them, every piece of them, just in a different setting. It reminded me of a Disney-fied Tolkien piece. The early Parker/Eliot interactions remind me for all the world of Beren and Luthien from The Silmarillion. Eliot's as worn and world-weary as Maedhros. But the mess in the town reminded me for all the world of Crossfire Trail. I am in love with this fic. I so badly did not want it to end. I donht suppose you'd ever consider writing a sequel Because I have a bad feeling about Sterling being so close to the town... Or did Nate leave him there hoping erling would give him a reason to go after him?

Oh, wow, thank you! I'm thrilled you found so much to enjoy in this. I guess it is equal parts fantasy and Western, lol.

I have to admit, I fell in love with my little world, so I may just have to revisit it from time to time. I think we all know Sterling's not going to just fade away into the background, and Damien is still running around loose, so … ;)
