Aw man, this actually brought a tear to my eye. It's such a painfully powerful piece. I love these lines especially:

Ben’s still everything he doesn’t want people to see. He’s still needy and angry and sad and he’s not releasing Dean any time soon, and he might have allowed them to tear one lady out of his heart, but there’s another one under him, sleek and beautiful and well-loved by two hands just like his own, and God forbid if anyone ever tried to tear him out of her.

and

There are thirty eyes in this room, but they’re not skinning him alive anymore. Ben’s not naked. He’s got shoes and jeans, a shirt and a coat, a hat resting on the table, and he’s wearing Dean like armor.

I love how messed up Dean and Ben (and Sam and Alec) are and how their different flavors of fucked up resonate but aren't the same. This piece is just gorgeous. I love this AU!

Alec certainly has a way with words. Sam worries too much about socializing. And Dean is as ever perfection. Especially as his two little clones. Ben, through his doubts and fears and nakedness, is just the best kind of perfection. Winchester through and through.

and he’s wearing Dean like armor.

Oh, double meanings, how I love thee! As a Dean clone, he IS wearing Dean as an armor, getting his strengths from where Dean gets his strengths, though they have two different fathers. Family above all. :)

Ahahahaha. Alec most certainly does have a way with words and Sam is definitely too worried about developing them in that normal parenting-book sort of way.
