Wow, this was fantastic! I loved the back-and-forth of the chronology in the narrative - a perfect illustration of the chronology of the plot - and Corsair's idea that a fishing trip is a good way to break news like "Oh, BTW, another brother, via time travel." River and Simon's reactions to the people from Earth That Was were perfect (and so were Zoe and Jayne's!) and I loved Corsair and Mal's backstory, from the tales of naked ranchhands to the destruction of Shadow. The narration and the dry humour were just a terrific bonus on a great fic. Wonderful!

Thank you so much! It's my personal belief that, in Corsair's mind, anything could be sorted out with the aid of a fishing trip.

This is wonderful! I really love the idea of Mal being a Summers!

I enjoyed the way this was written, too. Sometimes the back and forth doesn't work in a fic, but here it only makes the story better! Nicely done! =)

Thank you! I was so excited when I saw this prompt, because Mal as a Summers totally works. Like, I've been thinking about this for over a month now, and the idea still kills me.

I got a bit confused with the time set, so I'll probably need to re-read when I'm available.

But I like the plot, it's interesting, and it sure is a lot more interesting if you put more than one Summers clan together, always.

Thank you! Btw, the ending is really nice.:)

Thank you! Sorry if the time jumps were confusing at points. The Summers family has an awesome catalog of ISSUES, and it was fun to put them together.

Squeee! That is so completely fabulous I don't even know where to start! It completely made my day. :)

The voices and reactions are so perfect, and I love how you've worked it all into the X-Men timeline. Loved Cable fixing River. And Mal. Poor Mal. :) The whole thing's just complete and utter awesome right there. <3 Thanks so much for writing it!

Thank you so much! Figuring out when to set this story made me realize exactly how difficult it is to find a time when the whole Summers family is alive, in the same timeline, on the the same planet, and not under the control of a super-villain (and I still didn't manage it - I would have liked to have worked Rachel in, but couldn't find a spot in canon where she was also "available").
