Ovid! Yay! Which poems are you doing by that wonderful, wonderful man who wrote my favorite half-line of Latin oetry ever?

Have you read any Sumerian religious poetry, by the way? One of my favorite things to do at the California version of your 24-hour poetry reading (Mike and Dave's Summer Slumberfest) is to read the Love Hymn of Inanna and Dumuzi and watch as people settle in for what they think will be a typically boring 5000-year-old religious hymn and then see their reaction when I get to netaphors like, "Fill my holy churn with sweet butter" "make your cream sweet and thick for me my lord" and so on. Especially at the end, when Inanna reveals that he made her cum 50 times that night.

lol. I will be selecting out of Amores, a few letters, and a smattering from Remedia Amores.
