What can I say about poetry in the New England area that half of the people who read this don't already know? Not much, I am sure: it is a vibrant, legacy-driven scene filled with readings and home to many poets who are, pound for pound, better than most of the features they bring in. Most of them have been at this for a long time and they're still ( Read more... )

first of all, i am SO glad that the Dr. Who suited you! i'm always a little afraid when i recommend a movie or book to someone, that they'll be all like, are you kidding? really?? - social anxiety, anyone? YaY for good tv!

but more importantly, it was lovely to have you by us - ANY time you want to come back through, just let us know, meow meow =)

And the band talk...

I know it probably felt like an interview or something, but really: you helped me out back then and you didn't even know it, was well past doing anything and STILL having an effect. I still kind of owe you for that.

your poem titles leave me so curious about what the actual poems are like. i don't know if i've actually seen/heard you read.

1. Was this a freezeout sit n go you guys were playing or was this cash game poker?

2. Beware the Dr. Who nut-huggery that goes on in some of the episodes. Russel T. Davies gets pretty far into it as the show progresses. "Voyage of the Damned" is pretty close to unwatchable. Also, you're probably going to want to track down Stephen Moffat and give him a great big hug when you see any of the episodes that he wrote. There's a reason they made him showrunner.

When I saw Doc at NPS this past August I was thinking, “I got to get this whole Tucson team in Columbus!” Fortunately, they had plans of their own and we worked it out.

That's pretty much how team Vancouver felt as well. I hope we can get them up here soon, their whole team.

And, this is maybe the best compliment that I can give another writer - you make me want to write more and better.
