Since the exercises will stop being posted here at the end of the month, let's go out with a bang, yes?

I usually start a workshop with the following exercise, but now's as good a time as any to really amp up the difficulty rating.  A good place to do this one is in the first page of your notebook or journal if you write that way.

Ha! I would totally do this in my workshop if I didn't think it'd make everyone quit.

Also, I cheated. I looked at what the list was for without making the list. :)

Ohhh, good one. Although I love so many foods and so much music that I should ban writing about food or music too.

Wow. All the things I listed are ones I have never used in my poetry.

Okay, that's not true. Purple is my favorite color. I use purple, or a variant of it, in poetry just as I would any other color when I need to use it appropriately. I actually find it rather inane to tell a person never to write using their favorite color.

I also used CSI: in a poem, but before it was actually one of my favorite shows. Does that count?

It's completely my own fault, but this has very much interrupted a flow of writing I've been doing in a summer challenge journal I started last week. All the other prompts you've given were useful. I trusted that this one would be as well.

You might have prefaced this as a beginner's exercise.

I haven't been writing about most of the stuff on my list lately anyway, so...*shrugs* I guess I'm fine.
