A Study of My Favorite Poetry Event Passes

Here's something that doesn't get it's props enough: passes!  No big event works without them, and yet it's pretty rare that anyone talks about these and gives their designers their props.

austin '98, chicago '99, and providence '00 all hang from my bedroom lamp. seattle '01 didn't make the grade.

Huh, that reminds me:

'01 was my first NPS and somewhere in there I lost my pass on site. I don't even remember what it looked like, and because I was a nobody then I couldn't score another one as something else. ;-)

Actually, my Chicago '03 pass disintegrated long ago. My favorite is still ABQ.

Austin '98 was the best for me. The volunteer passes were the absolute best -- said "Voluntario" on them, had a picture of a puppy with a "don't kick me" expression. Priceless.

I like my Milwaukee '06 Rust Belt pass.

That was an honorable mention at first. It is a very solid pass, no doubt.
If you'd seen some of these NPS ones, though...
