Going to SlamMasters

This weekend I head to Madison for the SlamMasters meeting.  Highlights are likely to include a debate on giving host cities teams a slot at the event they're hosting, a discussion about putting Indies back into NPS, a PSI bid for NPS 2010 (as opposed to a specific city), and the EC election (my term is up, and I'm running again).

on the highlights tip, I like the host city getting a slot thing -- very World Cup. And I'm down to make slam more like futbol.

And yes to bringing indies back. And you retaining the prez-ness.

Not sure about the PSI big in '10 thing...

I am also for the HC team slot, but I am not so hot about having it affect W&YI at all. I'd rather it be give it to them or nto, but don't make it complex.

I voted against indies before, but I have nothing personal against them. I'm curious to see a year without them, so I'd vote against it right now just so we don't guarantee ourselves to give indies back if, after a year of no indies, we find we actually like it that way. I'd like to keep the option open, is what I'm saying.

I'd love to get back on EC. Just when I think I've done enough, a whole bunch of interesting stuff comes out that needs work.

The PSI thing is simply what we do already for WOWPS and what we had to do for IWPS this year after the host drop: EC finds a viable candidate out of interested parties. Piece of cake.
