Thanks for an update from the slam masters meeting. 3 x 5 sounds interesting enough, I hope it doesn't cause alot of inner turmoil within the teams.

I'm sure it will cause drama at the local levels and on teams at "The Big Show". Of course, this will depend largely on a number of factors that have nothing to do with the process of 5x3 itself. This will have to more to do with the temerity and motivations of the SlamMasters and poets themselves. Some teams will have no problems with this system, regardless of the number of poets on their teams. Some will. Doesn't mean the process is wrong.

And this is one of my beefs with some SMs: they act as if good behavior can be legislated. It can't, but it doesn't stop them from bogging down simeple concepts with tons of baggage.

Right on, keep it simple. If poets can't be on good terms with teammates, well that their own problem and nobody elses.
