Question: Does PSI have any full time paid staff? Not only should some people get a salary out of principle, but also having at least one full time, undistracted worker would create some continuity in case the staunch volunteers all get previous commitments. Actually, yes. The current budget (our first in a few years) finally reflects this reality best:
Steve Marsh is our only full-time paid employee, but we also have some staff in varying part-time capacities. We have a functioning Devlepoment Director, a membership coordinator, a video projects coordinator, and a web guy. These are all paid positions.
When Steve and I did the budget for 2006 (and when I do it for 2007) we tried to set up a systme that begins to pay the people who do the day-to-day tasks and stuff that eats up man hours. So we have a few people on varying degrees of retainer-ship.
