Sadly, you are correct about San D. Orange County's not much better. But the next time you're in SoCal, you need to schedule in a Wednesday night and check out the reading at the Ugly Mug in Orange. You'll have a blast -- good, literate crowd that lieks a wide variety of stuff.

Yeah, I was so in-and-out on this one it wasn't funny.
I'll visit that way again, though, with time to spare. Won't be this year (New England has my fall this year), but it'll happen.

I firmly stand by the belief that northern california and southern california are and should be considered two different states. The only reason why I wouldn't vote for it to happen is because there are so many of us blue voters in norcal that we are able to wipe out the large republican populace of so cal's voice in elections. But as far as visiting, San Diego and San Francisco are about as different as cheese and a bicycle.

P.S. about the TV shows...I don't know how it was at the hotel you were staying at, but they all start on a time delay here. So you guys are actually seeing them 3 hours before us in the east.
