Summary:- Jack and Ianto escape from Cardiff but it’s not what Ianto’s expecting.

“We’re here.”
Jack pulled the blindfold off Ianto with a flourish, grinning widely. Ianto blinked and looked around.
“Oh.”
“Oh?”
“When you said LA I pictured sunny California not…” Ianto gestured to the rugged hills and grey lake.
“And the car journey?”
“Gatwick airport? Heathrow maybe?”
“Oh.”
“Where are we exactly?”
“I told you - LA.”
Ianto looked over, eyebrow raised.
“LA23. Windermere.”
“Ah.”
Ianto looked at Jack’s defeated expression and shrugged. A few days in a nice hotel, alone with Jack. He reached over and took Jack’s hand. Maybe LA23 wouldn’t be so bad after all.

In this context LA refers to the city of Lancaster in the North West of England, near the Lake District. Windermere is the largest lake both in the Lake District and in England as a whole.
