“Just try it Jack. You keep saying I need to be more open to new experiences. Practise what you preach.”
Jack looked at the proffered plate. The small slices of toast looked innocent enough but something made him wary.
“I… I don’t want to.”
Ianto looked at him, disappointed, and Jack’s resolution crumbled.
“Okay, fine,” Jack snapped, grabbing a soldier and stuffing it in his mouth. Almost immediately his stomach began to heave and he dashed from the room.
Unconcerned Ianto took another soldier and delicately began to eat.
“Of course Marmite isn’t to everyone’s taste.”
