Written for my personal "2009 - A Year in Drabbles" challenge on Whofic.
A/N:- This week JB, along with Mylene Klass, was on TV undertaking stage 5 of the ‘Round the World in 80 Days’ relay challenge for BBC charity ‘Children in Need’. The pair were travelling from Los Angeles to Memphis. As this was the shortest leg of the journey they had the additional challenge of using as many modes of transport as possible. At one point JB phoned Scott in the UK to get him to Google campsites where they could recharge the electric car they were driving at the time. Whilst on the phone JB twice called Scott by the term of endearment Jack uses here - I just hope Scott took it better!

Jack knew he was in trouble, Ianto had been distant all day.
“You called me hon’ in front of the UNIT top brass!” Ianto finally exploded as he drove back to Cardiff. “Thanks to you I probably just lost whatever crumbs of respect they had for me.”
“Sorry,” Jack apologised, but he could not help smiling. “It could have been worse.” Ianto glanced at Jack then back to the road. “I could have tried playing footsie under the table or snogged you senseless over lunch .”
Ianto blushed at the thought. “Okay, you’re right. It could have been worse!”
