We are all quite unnerved tonight as winter gales are howling around the house, rustling the larks and fir trees surrounding us and the rood is groaning. Hurricane ... for the last couple of days we had lots of winter storms but since midnight we have the biggest yet and the dogs are feeling it

Stay safe and warm. High winds really are quite scary, so I hope you can all huddle inside together and let the dogs keep you warm. And very belated Merry Christmas. I read your Christmas post while I was away and meant to go back and reply, but I never quite made it.

No worries :) Hope you had a nice holiday and you could relax and get a bit of quiet.
We all slept in the bed together and even Sammy, our shy panic dog, was upstairs and slept in the same room. Our greenhouse is gone, I don't think we can repair it so we will think of getting a more sturdier (a brick and glass) one later this year.

I don't know if it is was worse but here in the country we feel it really close :s
A tall fir tree fell about three gardens away from us, our apple trees, the car port and the barn are all okay, but our greenhouse (polytherene foil) is 'kaputt'.
