King claims to have started it in the mid-70's and started dusting it off when the Truman Show came out, and polished after Obama got elected. I beleive him. Why would he make that up? He usually puts the dates he started and finished in the back of the book. I'm 62nd on the list, in no hurry as the new Atwood is freaking out my shit right now.

The Year of the Flood, kind of a sequel to Oryx and Crake. Bleak, nasty and a very compelling book. Might be my favorite this year if she does not mess with the ending.

a book about a city in dome?
ever read Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov?

published in 1953. considered by many to be the first gothic science fiction novel. it is about a city in a dome.

i'm looking forward to reading the new King book, but i'm not under the illusion that it is an original idea. i loved Truman Show, BTW
