I’d thought enough time had passed that I could forgive Jack Kirby. But I just learned I was wrong.

I was on staff at Marvel Comics in the mid-’70s when the King returned and tried to pick up where he’d left off. At the time, as I sat there in the Bullpen with my blue pencil and proofread the original art for some of his initial issues of titles ( Read more... )

That sounds to me as if you LIKED Kirby's solo run on Captain America. Am I reading you right?

Lesee, Kirby's solo run was around 1975 or 1976, if I remember correctly ( ... )

One thing I didn't like was that The Twelve (which was supposed to be a twelve-issue mini-series) turned out to be only eight issues.

C'mon JMS! Not another dime from me until you complete this mini-series. Eight is not enough.
