I dreamt this morning that I was the Toastmaster at a Nebula Awards banquet, a task which I already did once in real life, back in 2000, so I'm not sure why I was doing it again. You've proved that that iPhone keyboard can be used to type something longer than a text message. How was it to work on? Make sure you get your data off the old laptop. I've lost data over the years and sometimes it's a real bitch. Where are the copies of your stories?

Don't worry—all of my stories are safe. They exist both on a thumb drive I carry with me at all times as well as on CDs.

As for typing at length on the iPhone, it was no problem for me, as I've written complete short stories on both the Sidekick and the BlackBerry, and so I'm used to tiny keys. I actually found it easier to type on the iPhone than either of those two, because its auto-correct feature seems functions well.
