Heh. He is what we like to call "a member of the Public." We know all about the Public, because we own a store and they come in the front door all the time. Most of them are very nice, perfectly normal people, but a good number of them are insane. Utterly mad. They may even seem sane the first fifty times you see them, and then they reveal themselves for the bug-f**king nut cases that they really were all the time.
He might have wanted some attention, someone to talk to. He might have needed someone to feel superior to, and putting one over on you guys was that thing that could do it. He might have been planning to laugh himself silly when you drove out to his place and found nothing there. He probably honestly thought you wouldn't investigate him or his claims. The fact that he ID'd himself as a fifteen year old should tell you something. He's a troll who took it off the internets and into real life.
