It's been a HELL of a year. Sure, I've had some less than proud moments, and I've said some things to people that I probably shouldn't have, but I've done well. I supported my closest friend early this year when his life nearly fell apart. I managed to teach my students more than just their instrument, and I'd like to think I taught them a few ( Read more... )

Wow, that sounds a lot like my life for the past few years. When my mom passed I had to be the strong one so everyone else could fall apart.
I've had more than my share of being used by friends and family, then tossed aside when no longer needed.
It sucks to feel dispoable.
I've had some good things, too, so I try not to focus too much on the crappy stuff... not easy, though.

I hope you get all you need and want from the jolly man this year. :)
