Meeting, getting to know each other, getting closer and closer, wasn’t like grooming a downhill-slope covered with fresh snow, it was more like cross-county skiing trusting tested routes and avoiding failed ones.

That is such a wonderful analogy. The fic is great and I'll get to that but I just need a minute to geek out over the literary genius of this first!

I love the image of Reid supporting the Dutch wearing orange thongs, could he be any more adorable?!
The thought of Luke reminding Reid of someone from his past is intriguing, and here we got to meet him in the flesh.

Reid's ex showing up was definitely a surprise, but one which you handled ever so masterfully. This bit, in particular, just made my heart melt:-

Luke had never been happier about having big hands and wouldn’t dream of moving his hand away that was still protecting Reid’s face from unwanted and nosy strange eyes.
