David seldom has problems picking someone out of a crowd, and these circumstances certainly don't present much of a challenge. He spots Quatre quickly, and walks over the the boy (he is just a boy, in spite of the uniform, something which David finds deeply unsettling), careful to stay in front, with his hands visible. Quatre doesn't seem to be in the best shape, and David knos how jumpy you can get in a foreign setting. He doesn't want to seem like a threat, even for a moment.

"Quatre?"

Quatre snaps up quickly; he was never very good at always being on guard, not like Heero or Trowa. He smiles, but it's so forced and uneasy that David can see how vulnerable he is. (It was evident before, of course - but not quite like that.) There is a pause and, then, "I never asked your name."

David sees through the attempt, but does Quatre the courtesy of acting as if he doesn't. The appearance of normality can be all that keeps a person together.

He isn't bad at it, himself. He gives a small, casual smile, one which appears more natural than Quatre's, even if that's not really the case. "Jim Standfast," he lies easily.

Right now, the appearance of normality is just allowing him to hide under that bed again. Though, he's only half-under this time; he has had enough time for the truth to settle more. But not completely, at least.

Quatre nods. "Thank you for coming, Mr. Standfast," he says, and even when the world makes no sense, he is still polite. Keep those priorities in check, Quatre.
