With all the legwork he had done over the course of the past months, Naruto knew Anatole pretty well, but it still took him a while to find Near's exact location, even on the information he had been given

Indeed, Near wouldn't appreciate that, and Naruto could find himself with a vase smashed-- using telekinesis, of course-- against his skull, if he did follow that habit.

As it was, Near's attention shifted to the door as he heard the knock, and then the voice. It sounded like Naruto's, but he needed to be certain-- which was why he levitated his Forge to a crack above the door and turned the Video recording on, bringing it down again after a few seconds. It appeared to be him, so he should probably open the door.

Leaving the almost finished gun on his desk, he walked to the door and began to unlock the various security mechanisms he'd installed after Cara had kicked it down. It was still breakable, of course, but it was more difficult to kick it down now than it had been before, which could give him enough time to escape if the situation required it. After he was finished, he opened the door and took a small step to the side, allowing his visitor to get in.

"Hello, Naruto."

Naruto stepped inside with a nod, and a quiet 'yo', still blinking slightly at the amount of locks (and god knew what else) which Near had on the inside of the door. He was tempted to take a peek but was immediately sidetracked by two things.

The first being that Near was taller than when Naruto had seen him last. Enough to have Naruto pause at least once inside and to stare at him. He wondered how he had not noticed before but then realised he had not stood next to Near in Anatole and so really there had been no way to gauge his height.

"You're taller."

It was out before he could stop it.

Secondly, Near's place was a mess. Naruto titled his head at it. Considered the height of those card castles and wondered how long it took Near to build one. As well as how on earth he managed to build them that high ... huh.

Near watched him carefully, noticing how Naruto looked at the security on his door and wondering briefly about what was on that bag of his. He raised an eyebrow at his comment; if he was 'taller', that meant Naruto had met a younger version of him. "I am," he replied, closing the door behind him. "That usually happens when someone is older." Up until a certain age, anyway.

Keeping an eye on his visitor, and taking the opportunity now that Naruto had his back turned on him and the door, Near secured it again with the help of his powers. When he was finally sure that the last mechanism had been secured, he stepped away from the door. "Don't knock them down," he said, after noticing the way Naruto was glancing at his card castles. He wouldn't be happy if they were destroyed.
